We had the honor of welcoming State Superintendent Victor Wakefield to ECSD as part of his “Bright Spots” and listening tour and guess what? His very first stop was right here at Adobe! 🙌
And talk about a welcome! 🎶 Our incredible choir and Hope Squad set the tone by greeting him with a performance that was nothing short of amazing. Safe to say, they nailed it and made us all proud!
Dr. Wakefield jumped right into the action, visiting our STEM and STAR classrooms where innovation, creativity, and student voice were on full display. From hands-on learning to meaningful connections, he got to see what makes Adobe such a special place.

🎉 Adobe Middle School is SBAC-ready! 🎉
This week, our students showed their school spirit in the best way possible as we geared up for next week’s BIG SBAC testing days! From fun dress-up themes to an exciting assembly finale, Spirit Week was full of energy, laughter, and Adobe pride.
One of the highlights of the week was our epic Rock, Paper, Scissors challenge! Throughout the day, students battled it out to collect beads, and the top bead winners faced off in a playoff round for the ultimate prize: a championship match against Principal Gohl. In a dramatic showdown, Principal Gohl defended her title and came out victorious—proving once again that grown-up rock, paper, scissors skills are not to be underestimated! 🏆✋✌️✊
And that’s not all—Adobe also took on Spring Creek Middle School in a friendly competition to see who could raise the most donations for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Our amazing Adobe community showed up in a huge way, winning the challenge by over $2,500! We are so proud of our students and families for making a difference with such generous hearts. ❤️
Now it’s time to focus and shine! SBAC testing will take place April 14–16, 21, and 22. To help your student do their very best:

8th grade boys interested in playing football at EHS. Parent meeting on April 9th at 6:00pm at the Performing Arts Building of EHS.
Congratulations to Johnni and Jesus for receiving the Adobe Middle School High Flyer for the month of March! They received a certificate, yard sign, water bottle, and a gift certificate provided by Communities In Schools. Their picture will be hung by the front office in our High Flyer display case.

Elko County School District families will soon be able to complete annual student registration for the 2026–2027 school year through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Annual registration allows families to review and update important student information, including contact details, emergency contacts, health information, and required district forms. Keeping this information current helps schools communicate effectively with families and plan for the upcoming school year.
The registration window opens Monday, April 13 for all new and returning students, including Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment.
Families are encouraged to complete registration as soon as possible to assist schools with scheduling, staffing, transportation planning, and other preparations for the upcoming school year.
Families who need assistance can:
• Contact their child’s school
