We have made adjustments to several bus routes following the first few weeks of school. Most changes for Spring Creek are minor, while the Elko routes have undergone more significant updates. If your student rides the Dragonfly bus to Adobe, please be aware that this route has the most notable changes. To view the updated schedules, please visit our transportation webpage
https://www.ecsdnv.net/page/transportation-department. Thank you for your attention, and we appreciate your support in helping ensure smooth transportation for all students!

Dear Families,
Friday, January 26 marked the conclusion of the Friday lunch service and tutoring, known as Lunch & Enrichment and Friday tutoring, at ALL schools. We acknowledge the value of these services for some students on Fridays and want to remind families about the tutoring and food supplementation resources that are still available.
Paper Online Tutoring is an on-demand tutoring service that provides students with unlimited, 24/7 academic support. Students log in to Paper via the Clever Portal on their ECSD Chromebook or may visit paper.co and search for their school to gain access.
A video tutorial on how ECSD students can log in to Paper is available here.
Additionally, all schools in our District offer tutoring services to students during the regular school week. Please reach out to your child(ren)'s school administrator or classroom teacher to learn about learning supports in place.
If your family is experiencing food insecurity, our partner, Communities in Schools of Northeastern Nevada, offers the WeekEND Backpack program to all ECSD students. Shelf stable food is sent home on Thursdays with students to help supplement food over the weekend. Any student needing extra support can sign up to receive services. There are no income qualifications. Only a parent consent form is required to participate. If you are interested in this program or learning about other CIS food assistance programs, please call CIS at 775-738-2783.
Community partner F.I.S.H. (Friends in Services Helping) offers four different food programs throughout the month. Please call 775-738-3038 for more information.
It's our mission to provide families with access to community resources that promote student health and wellness. If ECSD can be of assistance or answer questions, please contact us at 775-738-5196 or the Family and Community Engagement Center at 775-753-5367.
Queridas familias,
Además, F.I.S.H.

The Nevada School Climate/Social Emotional Learning Survey (NV-SCSEL) is used to gather student feedback about their experiences at school. The NV-SCSEL surveys are administered to students in grade 5 and up throughout the state of Nevada during the fall of each school year.
The NV-SCSEL surveys measure students’ perceptions of key aspects of school climate, including physical and emotional safety, relationships, and cultural and linguistic competence, as well as students’ social and emotional competencies.
The survey is an opportunity for students to anonymously share their experiences of their school’s climate with their school, school district, and NDE. To learn more about the survey, visit nevadaschoolclimate.org.
Elko County School District will be administering the survey to students (5th -12th grade) between November 20th and December 14th , 2023.
Parents can preview the survey here:
https://5il.co/28q0d
Questions on the survey are optional. Students can choose not to answer any question they do not want to answer.
Parents can opt their child(ren) out of participating in the survey by contacting their child(ren)’s school. If you have any questions about the NV-SCSEL survey, please contact your child(ren)’s school.
